🎉💞Congratulations @kristensmith3 for winning our giveaway with @mintarrow! Your story is inspiring and you radiate #brilliantconfidence ✨ We can’t wait to share this @disneyland experience with you! ✨✨✨✨ “THIS. This photo changed me. This photo, taken minutes after my third daughter was born two weeks ago, has given me new life. After my husband took the photo, he sighed... To be 100% honest, I was nervous to see it. How tired would I look? How many chins would I have!? Would my face look super swollen and puffy?! He sent the photo to all our family and I didn’t see it until the next day... I was scared of how I looked in it, but was too tired to care. When he showed me- again I’ll admit it- I saw my flaws first. BUT before I could say anything, my husband said, “This is literally the most beautiful photo I have ever seen of you... it’s not edited at all...and it doesn’t need to be. You look absolutely gorgeous!”. For the first time (I think ever) something changed and I was able to see myself through his eyes. After my second baby girl was born I struggled with depression, badly. I hated my body. I hated the extra fat I had after child birth. I hated that I still looked pregnant and that I didn’t “bounce back”. I hated that I struggled to lose the weight. I compared myself to all the other moms I knew. This time around- because of this photo- I can honestly say that I have #brilliantconfidence in MYSELF! For the first time in my life I am confident in my own skin. I am confident despite the extra baby weight. I am confident despite the dark circles under my eyes. I find joy in looking in the mirror and seeing the dark line down my belly... a representation of the life I just brought into the world- NOT a flaw! I laugh when my older daughters squeeze my jiggly belly. I have found joy and confidence in being present and happy in my life *now* and not worrying about the other “stuff” that doesn’t actually matter! I am grateful to @pmdbeauty and @mintarrow for helping me and encouraging me to put all of this into words. I would have *never* posted this photo before- but today I have the confidence to do so...and that alone is a win! ✨”
