How To Be Holiday Ready

The Holiday Season is here, and in my opinion is the best time of year spent with family, friends and my favorite foods. However, the Holidays are often a time of great stress. Whether you’ve got 4 kids, a cross country flight, a plan to meet your significant others parents or a 5 hour road trip, it’s important to take care of yourself and relax so you can feel your best during the Holiday season.

Here are a few of my tips and tricks to feel good and look your best:

Drink Lots of Water. When you’re on road trips or flying across country, it’s easy to forget to drink the correct amount of water. This can leave you dehydrated, which can lead to headaches and dry skin. I suggest carrying around a water bottle to make sure and drink at least 8 glasses a day. You may have to make a few extra trips to the restroom, but it will flush the toxins out and keep the body running smooth.

Take Care of Your Skin. Whether you like to rock the natural look or wear a full face of makeup- soft, radiant skin always helps! The Personal Microderm removes the top layer of dead, dull skin leaving a flawless skin texture. The PMD Personal Microderm is the perfect way to prep your skin before you brave the parties.

Buy Yourself a New Outfit or Piece of Jewelry. With all the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, this is the perfect time to splurge. You know that dress from Nordstrom you have been eyeing? Now is the time to, “hand over the credit card.” Debuting a new outfit or piece of statement jewelry can give you an extra boost of confidence to smile a little bigger in those dreaded family photos!

Exercise: Do your best to keep a regular exercise routine, even while traveling. Schedule the time to hit that cycle class or get up a little earlier to get your miles in. When traveling, I always pack a jump rope and resistance band. Write down your routine and commit to finishing it. Exercising is good for the mind as well as the body, plus it will help keep you sane during the Holidays.

Get lots of rest. It’s easy to lose sleep during the Holidays. Hallmark movies, cookie baking and present wrapping can easily take precedent over your 8 hours of beauty sleep. However, getting the correct amount of sleep helps your body produce collagen. Collagen is what reduces the appearance of wrinkles and increases circulation. This is how you wake up with a glowing completion in the morning. If you want a good nights sleep, go to bed with a sleep mask from Perpetual Shade and sleep in style!

When you make time for yourself and take care of your needs, the Holiday Season will be filled with joy and not stress. Nourish your body with good foods, drink lots of water, take care of your skin, splurge a little, exercise regularly and get plenty of sleep. That way you can enjoy the Holiday Season and feel good about all you have accomplished!
