Shaving your legs is just a part of life and the closer and smoother the shave feels the more satisfying it is. So let’s take a closer look at how to get the best shave possible and enjoy shaving again.

How To Shave

Water: The Temperature of your shower or bath water should be warm. Hot water leaches moisture from your skin and dries it out leaving your shave feel rough.

Timing: Shave at the end of your shower. Your hair and skin will have time to soften.

The Process: Start from your ankles and shave up. You want to make sure you are shaving against the hair growth. As for your underarms, shave at every angle. I have found that shaving up and down and then in an “X” does the trick.

Tools

The Razor

Multiple Blades – Razors only have a few ways to try and set themselves apart so while there are definitely razors with more blades then you could need having at least 3 blades will create a closer shave with less nicks.

Moisturizer Bars – These are not just gimmicks, bars that contain aloe will give a boost of moisture right as the razor crosses over the skin.

Blade Replacement – There is not set timeline but definitely replace it as soon as you feel it tugging on your leg hairs and if you see any rust.

TIP – Try using the Gillette Venus handle, but not the blades. instead use your husband’s Gillette Mach 3 blades. Surprisingly they are compatible and gives a unique shave.

Use Your conditioner – It gets a lot closer shave then shampoo and is a lot cheaper then shaving cream.

Using baby oil makes your razor last longer and get a close shave.
