Not your next dinner option but definitely handy to have in the recipe box for those mornings you wake up with an unexpected blemish.
1. Lemon Juice
Dab straight lemon juice on the affected area.
2. Cinnamon & Honey Paste
Mix ½ tsp cinnamon and a dab of honey. Stir to make paste.
3. Apple Honey Recipe
Smash ¼ of an apple slice into a pulp. Add a drop or two of honey and mix into a paste. Apply for 20 mins.
4. Green Tea Cubes
Freeze leftover green tea into ice cubes. Rub ice cube on affected areas 3 times a day. Swelling and irritation will go down.
5. Strawberry Top
Simply slice the top of a strawberry. Rub a small amount on the affected area and leave for 20 mins.
6. Small Egg White Mask
Separate the yolk from the white. Whip the white a time or two, and dab on to spotty areas with a Q-tip. Leave on overnight and wash well in the morning.
7. Baking Soda Mix
Mix equal parts baking soda and water to form a paste. Apply the paste onto acne individually, not over the entire face. Dip a Q-Tip into the baking soda mixture and apply that way. Leave the baking soda paste on your face for about 10 minutes, or until dry. Wash off with very cold water. It will help close the pores significantly.
BONUS: Get Rid of Acne Scars With Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is an effective, non-surgical way to get rid of acne scars by exfoliating the top layers of the skin. The PMD sloughs off dead skin cells and uses a vacuum to stimulate blood flow. It works just like an in-clinic microdermabrasion treatment without the hassle or cost. Learn more about our device here.
